Emily Martyak: I am Emily, the wife of the most loving, Matt and Mama to two beautiful boys, Rory and Finn. I started dating my now husband in August 2019. In December, we found out we were pregnant with our firstborn. Rory, and we were married in March 2020 when the world stopped. It was at this point that my life took an incredible turn and Matt and I decided together that I would become a Stay-At-Home Mom. Prior to becoming a SAHM, I was a teacher and a School Counselor. I spent 8 wonderful years focusing on my passion of educating and improving the mental health needs of students. I have my moments, especially when the house needs cleaning and the to-do list is piling up. I am trying to put my needs first and then I am working to be a supportive, emotionally and physically attentive wife & mama. My hope is that this blog can be a source of strength, calm or connectedness for you. I would love to be another mama in your “village”.
